Jun 3, 1. Nov 30, Pennsylvania. The head needs a little work Fuse is broken and the 8ohm input is dangling and a good once over. Other than what I listed it is in great shape. The Electro-Harmonix cab is a bit rough but some lipstick and rouge will spruce her up nicely. I played through it when I picked it up in the driveway and it sounded great.
Many of the vacuum-tube amplifiers in modern production are factory-fitted with Sovtek valves. This, however, was later dispelled as urban myth, attributed to a sales person who promoted early product at music industry trade shows worldwide. In the s, Sovtek also manufactured tube amplifiers at factories in St. Petersburg , Saratov , and Novosibirsk. Sovtek brand speaker cabinets fitted with US-made Eminence speakers were also offered. Those pedals, along with the Bass Balls pedal, were later manufactured in both NYC and Russia, under the Electro-Harmonix name; manufacturing in Russia was later discontinued.
It seems to me that my W Carvin V3 can do anything except reverb but that's another story yet I still had a sweet tooth for a Marshall amp or something like that. I bought a used Carvin XB but returned it because it needed repairs that were going to be too impractical to accomplish. Two channels, seriously impressive clean tone as well as seriously big fat beefy Marshall style distortion.
How about a Sovtek Mig 50 Clone?? Hey Nik, how about a nice handwired clone of the Sovtek MIg 50? Overdrive is like peanut butter. Some like it crunchy, some like it creamy.
